I am surprised how much I enjoyed this book. It was a little Agatha Christie/Sherlock Holmes -y.

It is a bit of a slow burn story that takes place after WW1 in London. Maisie Dobbs is a psychologist and investigator. She is working in fields where there are few women.

Truth be told, I didn’t know that Among the Mad was actually the sixth book in the Maisie Dobbs series. However I was still able to follow along.

My least favorite of the Maisie Dobbs series thus far. The plot was far darker and disturbing than the past five, and the violent scenes were more graphic. It felt like a departure from the mysterious, entertaining series. I had to take a break from Maisie for a bit after this because I was creeped out by this plot.
