I only read this because I got the third one for free from Amazon and I was totally lost. Now I'm questioning whether or not I even want to read the third one. I do like the post-apocalyptic feel to the book, but I think it was really just too short to really expand anything. So far, the second book could have easily just been tagged on to the end of the first and been fine. The author could have cut out all the sexy times and tried to develop the characters more. I liked the premise a lot better than the execution, but the world they are in is very interesting and I would like to know more.

I constantly troll Amazon for free kindle book and more often than not I can't say I much enjoy them, but Space Junque surprised me and I have to say I very much enjoyed the world building and the characters alike. It's a quick read, but that doesn't detract from the story in the least. If anything it makes you want to read the rest of the series more. You get glimpses into each character that make you want to see the whole picture even of the characters you love to hate. The mythology intertwined with the plot is interesting as well.

I'm definitely going to continue reading the series in the future and I've discovered a new author.

I had a hard time getting into it from the beginning -- maybe I'm not used to reading futuristic stuff, but it was too many unfamiliar terms that weren't easily identified through context. I also had a hard time getting into the characters....there were times where I felt I should cry or be devastated, but I was just skeptical (and with cause). My completionist tendancies want me to look at the next book, but that's all it is...I have no desire to see what happens to the characters. Not my cup of tea I guess....

So glad I got this for free on kindle. I almost didn't finish it, I was so bored. Although I could totally buy into the earth being destroyed ecologically in the way described and companies taking over everything, there was nothing else about the world the author built and the characters that was believable to me. Yes, the book leaves me with questions, but I don't care enough about the answers to keep reading any other books in the series.

This was an exciting little story. I've already started the next one in the trilogy.

I feel like there could have been a little more character development and a bit more detail about the setting to slow the pace down.

Very good overall.

Ok I was really pulled into this one and I was eating it up when all the sudden it ended!! The last 40% of the book was Book 2! I was so mad!! This story was really good but it just moved WAY too fast! I needed more time to get to know the characters and feel for them. I just felt whipped around and then left hanging.

This book was weird. There were tons of characters, lots of acronyms to learn, and a plot that went by at almost whiplash speed.

And yet, somehow, I still really, really enjoyed it.

I picked this up awhile ago. I don't read a lot of sci-fi, but the cover art on its sequel, [b:Spiderwork|9854729|Spiderwork (Apocalypto, #2)|L.K. Rigel|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1333306382s/9854729.jpg|14745853], drew me in. (Yeah, sad, I know. But it's the truth.) Today I was looking for a shorter read (this is a novella), so I decided to finally give it a try.

And yeah. Wow. It's actually difficult for me to express in words how I felt about this story. It was weird, like I said, but in an interesting and wow-I-wanna-know-what's-going-on sort of way. Just try it. You'll see what I mean.

This is a pretty decent short story and since it's free I certainly don't feel cheated out of anything, time included. I'd say it's pretty important to read the little blurb first before diving in because it doesn't really explain what's going on in the beginning and you can feel little out of the loop. The premise is pretty interesting and I like how the world is basically evolving thanks to the stupidity of man (nuclear weapons being thrown about). There were moments where I was seriously confused like the sudden introduction of religion when it's stated that no one has any anymore, it's not super religious or anything just kind of felt random. I think the conversations were pretty stiff and the relationship building left something to be desired. Overall it's decent.

This was a confusing book. Space ships and pagan gods. The continuity was frequently lost so that it was not clear what the author wanted to happen. It was like there was a couple of ideas that were not well developed. It was gratefully short and a quick read.
