Still good the third time through. I need constant reminders on how to look for what's alive in people and listen non judgementaly, and give and receive gratitude without manipulative praise by expressing how needs were met.

An essential read with a lot brilliant actionable ideas on how to make interhuman communication less painful for everyone involved. I can't say I agree will everything written in the book: on the contrary, there are a few bits that I wholeheartedly disagree with (for example, with author basically saying that we should never be angry with other people). I've also felt that the author quite enjoys talking about how brilliant they are at resolving various _very_complicated_ situations with ease. All the above though doesn't make it less worth reading.

I got this book from the library; two chapters in, I knew I needed to own it. Lots to work through.
It should be required reading for young adults. These are life skills that everyone should understand, but few do.
A bold and effective way of changing the way we live and communicate from the roots! It deals with the underlying philosophy as well as difficult conversations including child abuse.
