The books in this series are the junk food of reading. Although enjoyable while you read them, they don't grip you in a way that makes you care for the characters or the plot. Good summer beach reads.

Probably the weakest of the expanse series so far but far far better than the TV show's adaptation of it. A stronger focus on the politics of colonising a new world made this story far more interesting than it was on TV.
