I’m a bit biased here because Gabo is one of my favourite authors of all time and I fell in love with his writing even more after studying his readings during college. This is the perfect ending of his writing history and I’m so happy that it’s out there for everyone to read. It’s easy to read, but impactful at the same time. As soon as you find yourself submerged in his words, you finish the book in a second and suddenly you remember why Gabo is as big of an author as he is. The only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is simply because I’m way too sad remembering that we won’t have Gabo anymore.

Narra como una mujer toma un transportador marítimo en Agosto una vez al año, toma un taxi, se dirige a un hotel, luego compra flores y va a visitar al cementerio a su madre año tran año. Durante esta tradición, que lleva a cabo sagradamente, esta mujer descubre cosas y se ve tal cual es, disfruta y se encuentra a si misma. Espero puedas leerlo, para hacer esod viajes con ella y ver desde otra perspectiva, como el autor abarca el tema de los sentimientos y el amor, en una edad más madura.
It was a pleasure to read this book which was not even supposed to be published. Gabriel Garcia’s prose is always worth enjoying even if you have mixed feelings about the themes of the book. He was truly a master of his craft. The ending was so unexpected in a good way.
