Nostalgia, love and sheer heartbreak.

Revenge of the Sith is a film that I cherish with every element of my being. It is not a film without flaws however. As a child I overlooked the unexplained plot points and stale dialogue, and have revisited the film countless times for hits of nostalgia. Themes of love and hate, friendship and belonging are so potent that they have impacted my own philosophical world view from a young age.

Revisiting these themes as an adult, through the film’s novelisation, I found even greater meaning. The feeling of nostalgia I held for my childhood, the characters held for times of yore. The love and heartbreak the characters felt, I shared with them. The pain, mental and physical, was my pain. Criticism of unexplained plot points and stale dialogue were vanquished within this beautifully written novel.

Its complex characters are bound together by a mysterious, yet vivid force which make this book an incredible read for any Star Wars fan.
