The movie is quite good but this novel is not. Nothing of much important is added by it. You can see the movie and leave the book untouched. That's the problem with some novel tie-in.
I would reccomend to anyone except the die-hard fans.

Matthew Stover took everything I loved about the movie and amped it the fuck uppppp. The characters were deeply and thoughtfully developed, the fight scenes were incredibly captivating, and Padmé seemed to have a more active political role (albeit still too small) than she did in the film. Incredible.
