Gentle life coaching with a touch of swearing. Kevin is always entertaining. A unique take on battling our monsters, because let's face it, we all have them.

Never thought about all the way that these self sabotaging traits were invading my life. I enjoyed the narrative of giving them a name and then understanding how to use them on my journey for the betterment of myself.

I loved how open Kevin ways about his flaws and how he overcame them. It inspired me and caused me to be less harsh and critical of myself and my own flaws. It reminded me that we are all human. If a mega star like him can go through things and make mistakes AND still come out on top. Then so can I!!!:):)

Interesting take on his usual self motivation talk. Still love how he raises his voice to get people’s attention

#4 for your girl. This is a great one for the leaders out there. I heard about this audiobook on Jay Shetty’s podcast— and as proper and pure as Jay Shetty is— he said he was really struck by Kevin Hart’s book about our “monsters”. Now keep in mind— it’s Kevin Hart. 😩 So there’s plenty of inappropriate commentary and irreverence… maybe not the right pick for the delicate or faint of heart. But ultimately he talks about monsters and how to tame them and boy could I relate to a few:
The Not Me monster
The Control monster 🙋🏽‍♀️
The Approval monster
The You Can’t Go Backwards monster
The Comparison monster
The Do It All monster 🙋🏽‍♀️
Kevin tells us about the monsters and how to tame them— not destroy them. Because these monsters are actually beneficial to us and should stick around, but they shouldn’t run the show.
I saw the monsters in me and I saw the monsters in every one of my teammates. 🤣🤣 When you know better, you do better. A good read for every leader. Only on Audible.
