I was super excited to stumble upon this Dark Corners collection of short stories by various authors via my Amazon Prime library (Amazon Original Stories.) I like that the stories are available individually on both my Kindle and Audible account. There are seven stories in the collection perfect for fans of the horror genre. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday, the first installment by Jennifer McMahon was perfect timing to get me in the spirit of the season. Hannah-Beast takes place on Halloween in 1982 and 2016. Hannah Talbott participated in a scavenger hunt back in 1982 that had horrific consequences. Amanda, also part of that scavenger hunt, is reliving those memories in 2016. This story is excellent! Perfect suspense throughout with a creative ending!

This one I would actually consider to be a horror story unlike the trapdoor spider story in this series. Good short yet creepy read!

While I did see the ending coming about halfway through this book was still super creepy. Do yourself a favor and listen to the audiobook, it’s fantastic.
