A little more erotica than I'm game for.

this is a significant improvement over rice's sleeping beauty series, where the characters were little more than bdsm puppets to slap around.

the plot of the book doesn't really matter. it's about the characters, who are written to be truly human. they're flawed, but it all makes sense.

however, this book was definitely written by a white woman in eighties, as she goes on about how beautiful these background mul*tto children are. ugh. despite that, i recommend.

this book is like 50 shades of grey reversed. its a mix of the man and women and its very sexual. it keeps you guessing. towards the end it starts falling down hill. could have ended way better ways then it did. good first half terrible second though.

barely remember it—but what i do remember bears exactly zero resemblance to the rosie o'donnel film of the same name.

no wonder anne rice hates hollywood.
