The first half or so had a lot of great wisdom for managers in general. The second half was more geared towards higher level leaders looking to grow sales and revenue.

First read of 2023 is a business book. Kind of read it for work, don’t judge me!!! Pretty good if not a little broad in tone and ‘recommendations'.

Frank is a legend in tech. Some of the examples are his personal examples. They need to reader to break it down and apply themselves. Definitely a decent book full of perspectives. Not hall of fame worthy though

Despite the utterly cringeworthy title, this is actually a very useful book for company builders and scalers (and newly arrived CEOs) to read. Ignore the Dad-tones and read it (you'll do it in one or two sittings).

Whereas Nadella’s Hit Refresh is “look how good Microsoft is”, this is instead “look how good I am”.

At least, Hit Refresh is moderately entertaining, not this one. And the amount of repetition is surprising for such a short read.

Guy's a killer. Some solid leadership lessons, but repetitive material.

Frank Slootman read the same books we did, he took notes and then wrote a book about that. His vision on CSM is new to me though.
