This book is really incredible. I’ve always like Danny Trejo as an actor (solely why I bought this book), I didn’t know anything about his story or life. It was a really eye opening book to his life and a life many other people can relate to or understand some part of. His recollection of details really paints the picture of what he’s lived through.
The work he continues to do outside of acting just shows the kind of person he is. A truly incredible autobiography.
I didn’t want to give too many details if someone hasn’t read it, but if you have even the slightest interest about Danny Trejo, read it.

Touching life story! Loved how he let himself be vulnerable and share his journey through out his life. Truly remarkable. Keep it up Danny!
A memoir I cannot recommend enough!
Trejo’s story is important and filled with truth about our prison system, generational trauma, addiction and recovery, and above all, redemption.
I grew up loving Trejo. He was the Mexican uncle I loved watching on TV (hello Spy Kids!). But I had no idea the journey he embarked all these years. I was moved.
I cried, I was shocked, and I was humbled by the fact that Trejo chose to share his story. He was real, he was modest, and he was unapologetically himself.
You’ll find a story of a man with a good heart, and the roughest circumstances. Despite it all, he was redeemed and was able to make the world a better place. Seriously!
Absolutely recommend. My top read of 2022.
