I recieved a copy for an honest review. I am really enjoying these books! I gave it 4 stars only because it lost my attention a few times. It was very well written and a great continuation of Heir to Kale. I loved finding out more of the history and things started to really click. I am really anxious to see what happens in the next book.

Fasten your seatbelt, You are in for an amazing ride to Kale!!!!!

This is one of my favorite book of 2015!!!! The first installment of the serie I loved, but this one I just adore! Everything fell right into place and it was a superb journey into the Kingdom of Kale. I just don’t want it to end!!!! Knowing that there is a 3rd book in writing is so exciting!! I also have to mentionned that I was given this book in exchange of an honest review.

It is a 5 stars book all the way!!! There were a couple of spelling errors here and there, but that was not enough to change my mind about giving 5 stars to Heir of Koloso. This is a masterpiece!

One of my critics in the first book, was my lack of connexion to Ameria, this one did the job. I began slowly to understand her, in part because I felth that the focus of the book was equally shared between Ameria and Marianna. Annabelle character (their mother) was well developed and it made me understand her actions better. By having that intimate sense with the mother, Ameria appeared into a whole new light for me. Before I was seeing her as a cold hearted being, I am now feeling her fire within; her passion (her desire to know the truth, the actions that she is taking toward her father assassins). I really loved the time Ameria spent with her GrandFather at Serenitas estate, it was one of the highlight of the book.

I have a confession to make, I prefer Ameria to Mariana. Ameria is more mysterious and more complex, we have to dig deep to understand her and welcome her into our world. Mariana is (to me) the easy way to go. She is passion and more likeable, but at same time lacking of substance. Mariana is now acting as queen for the Kingdom. I felt heartbroken when she had to take a difficult decision that was political and going against what she was feeling deep inside. I am thrilled by her twisted love story with Kyle ( another character that is growing on me.. however I have a hard time forgetting Jace from the first book, it was my biggest “character crush”). Mariana is deeply tormented, she is living and breathing passion (remind me of her father); but at the same time, she is lacking of depth for me. I have to add that her discussion with her mother about her past, was very moving, very well written.

The fact that the stroy is taking us back in time (24 years precisely) to see things as they appeared then (and all of those that took part of the history) and learning the background story in this book is mind blowing to me. It is a story that is haunting me (in a good way), that have us understand what is currently happening, and it is a passionate adventure. The first book was mainly in the temples, this one is completely out of them. Transition is done with a master touch and story pace is not affected at all. I am really grateful to have had the chance to read this book (which I will re-read for sure).

I can’t wait to assist at the 13th tournament… How the prophesy will develop, and to know more about Lady Angelia!!!! This serie is a MUST read!!!!!
