Interesting and inspirational. Loved it because it was about the joy of running and the connections with others it can bring into your life.

A feel good book that was inspiring and motivational to get those trainers on and hit the road. Definitely a race/marathon centric book & doesn’t cover much outside the joy of running without ever doing any races. Still great to read about conquering all those miles. Would love to see a different checklist one day of ‘what a real runner is’ - anyone who runs is a real runner - racer or not!
Thorougly recommend this to any runners, particularly those who will never be 'fast runners' like me. I also recommend it to anyone who wants to start running, this book will give you all the motivation you need.
After reading this book I am looking forward to running my first marathon next year even more! and I feel I have more than enough advice on how to make sure my first marathon experience is an enjoyable one.

This is a lovely book about running and not worrying about how fast you are, just about having fun. It's filled with various anecdotes and very enjoyable.
