It was my first time reading Manga. So, I am not familiar with how these books really work. That being said, I wanted to learn, which is why I picked up this manga. After getting used to reading backwards -- right to left, top to bottom -- I found myself easing into the story itself. It was well-paced, intriguing, and suspenseful enough that I intend to continue my experience into Volume 2. I am also impressed with how much story detail can be gleaned from graphics and simple dialogue. Ultimately, I prefer traditional books, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with Monster.

The story is so good and the drawing is outstanding
Loved it can't wait to read the other 8 'perfect editions' one things for sure I'm going to need a bigger bookcase.
