Bagus banget ceritanya sumpaah!

Agak kesel sama sifat Dokter Tenma yg kurang mikirin hidupnya sendiri, tapi cukup kagum sama keteguhannya buat nangkep sendiri pembunuhnya.
Tapi sayangnya namanya jadi jelek karena dia selalu jadi saksi dan berada ditempat kejadian sebelum perkara, makanya jadi dituduh terus.

Ga sabar sama Vol. 2 nya

Review for the whole series:

I fully understand now why Naoki Urasawa is considered one of the all time greatest storytellers to come out of Japan. Monster is a masterclass in storytelling - an examination of the human experience & psyche. Easily one of the greatest serial killer mysteries ever written. The characters are timeless and all of the twists and turns keep you on your toes. Everyone who considers themselves a fan/connoisseur of the mystery genre as a whole should read Monster, regardless of being a manga reader or not.

We are all faced with decisions of consequence at some point in our lives.

As a surgeon, Dr. Kenzo Tenma is faced with many such decisions every day. He often worries that politics and finance cloud the judgement of those in positions of power, even at the hospital. Saving lives should not be controversial.

When Dr. Tenma decides to forego professional ambitions and simply focus on saving peoples’ lives, he has no idea the monstrous consequences he choice will have.

Can you save the wrong person? And, are you responsible for the negative actions of someone you save?

When a mysterious serial killer appears, targeting an odd selection of individuals who are all, in some way, only connected by their relationships to Dr. Tenma, Dr. Tenma will have to confront not only his own convictions as a medical professional but, also, his deepest regrets.

We’re all the monster in someone’s story.

So, this is a FANTASTIC series!

I’m so happy that I’m finally getting around to it.

This series explores some of the most complex and morally grey aspects of the human condition, asking readers to really consider what it means to do good, especially in a world that so seldom rewards one for their integrity. More, this series asks readers to challenge their notions of goodness as a whole—can you make the right decision in a moment and still be responsible for the negative consequences of that choice down the line?

This is just a really thoughtful and profound series with plenty of mystery and horror elements throughout. I would recommend for any fans of series that explore complex, moral issues~

Monster has an enviable introduction. Full of intrigue and wonderful characters, it's as perfect as manga form can get so far.
