A stellar collection, Your Utopia is a wonderful mixed bag of speculative short stories for the modern age. Bora Chung completely delivers with original impactful works about humanity and its relationship to technology. My favorite stories were “A Very Ordinary Marriage” and “A Song for Sleep”

Now THIS is good sci-fi! The first couple stories were just ok for me, but several of the later ones in the book were so original and interesting, I’ll be thinking about them for a long time. The twists were never what I expected them to be and I appreciated the variety and nuance of narrators, especially the focus on older women which I wish there was more of in fiction.

Unlike "Cursed Bunny" this collection was completely unremarkable. Although it was a combination of my favourite things: weird/sci-fi/dystopia most of the stories were bland save for the plot twist in the last half page, which seemed like a cheap trick.

Other stories had potential but would have been better if the author decided to develop them into full novels.

Overall it left me unsatisfied.
