2.5 stars. The ending is interesting but overall it's just... underwhelming. I don't know if it's just me being unable to really get into it, or my too high expectations for it, or both.

“What’s that, Bayview? You didn’t know?
Shame. You’re behind on your gossip.
Here’s a little advice for the next time we play:
Always take the Dare.”

3.5 stars.

I must admit I enjoyed the first one more, but I liked this one too.. although it was a bit predictable (at least pre-plot twist at the very end, although I honestly thought about that person too but I was like nah i'm just crazy) and the stakes didn't feel as high as the first installment for a good chunk of the book... but I still enjoyed it.

However the only character I really loved (from the first book tbh) is Maeve. Didn't really feel anything for the new additions.

And most importantly, I love Maeve (yes, I'm repeating myself), Bronwyn, Nate and Luis. Both as individuals as well as their relationships (Maeve and Bronwyn's sisterhood, Nate and Bronwyn's relationship as well as Maeve and Luis' new one). Also, Eli and Ash <3

This did look like it was left open-ended, so I'm thinking there might be another book in this series, if so, I am absolutely looking forward to it.

4 stelle!
