After roughly 40% of the book, the plot became increasingly predictable, making my overall reading experience unmemorable. Nevertheless, it served well as a follow-up to the first book, with the Bayview Four remaining involved and drawing on some elements from the previous book for inspiration, though these elements did not constitute the full weight of the narrative. Ultimately, this allowed the story to stand alone, and notably provide substantial character development for the new protagonists.

this book was good. while i did want to not put the book down, the book itself wasn’t the best book ever. it was a bit predictable who the person was and I feel like the first book was better. I still really enjoyed reading it but it wasn’t as great as the books read previously this year. Overall, I liked this book and there were many ups and downs of the ‘enjoyment level.’

edit: i honestly dont remember what happened so that proves the fact it was meh.
