Still loving the original characters and the new characters they’ve introduced, bay view seems like a very interesting place to live don’t think I want to be included in any of the main characters lives though just interesting for the side lines. Once again great twist though I did see them coming a little before they happened. Still very much enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the final one !!

Although I probably didn't like this one as much as the first, I still really enjoyed it! I love McManus' writing - her characters are so fleshed out and the mystery is so compelling. Definitely lived up to my anticipation!

this was mediocre at best... and alot of unnecessary plot lines like phoebe and knox getting tgt? which is absolutely ridiculous esp when phoebe is going thru so much.

2.5 stars.
I am underwhelmed. Didn't enjoy it as much as I expected.
I loved [b:One of Us Is Lying|32571395|One of Us Is Lying (One of Us is Lying, #1)|Karen M. McManus|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1490084494l/32571395._SY75_.jpg|49825436], rated that 4 stars. And 3.5 stars to [b:Two Can Keep a Secret|38225791|Two Can Keep a Secret|Karen M. McManus|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1531316524l/38225791._SY75_.jpg|59904384].
So, in comparison to that, and knowing how [a:Karen M. McManus|15127507|Karen M. McManus|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1527617930p2/15127507.jpg] weaves her plots, this was pretty disappointing.
The theme is really alluring I must say. The concept of Truth and Dare game could be explored so much! But here, there's more talking about the Game than actually showing. First half was slow, Second half caught up with pacing, and last 30% of the book was mind-blowing. And that's it. I got the plot twist, and who the "bad guy" is/are halfway through the book. So, it didn't have the shock factor/wow factor like One of Us is Lying.
Good thing is, I could catch up with the previous book characters. How their lives turned out after first book's incident.
Coming back to this book's characters, I don't think so many characters has ever been a problem for the author, as she is great in dealing with multiple POVs. But here, every character has subplots going on with unnecessary plot lines. I couldn't bond with them as I did in the first book.
So overall, great concept but poorly executed plot, with good but predictable plot twist.

More secrets. More murder. Friends forged in fire, make out stakeouts, endgame, panic, teen sleuthing. I’m so happy I was raised an only child. I enjoyed.
