I enjoyed reading One of us is next especially in regard to the young adult humor that had me laughing. Furthermore, there is a ton of romance (that is wholesome and sweet) in the air in this book for any interested parties. Moreover, the plot twists were adequate, but not unpredictable for a reader that pays attention, and it made me feel there was a bit lacking. However, even if the plot twists are lacking, the story line is well written. Also, the lessons learned from certain events in the story are quite applicable to young people. Additionally, I would warn any reader that wants to read this series that it contains excessive cuss and blasphemous words; however, it is fitting for the young adult genre even if I do not agree with the writing style. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in a good mystery with a ton of wholesome romance and young adult humor.

This is honestly better than the previous book in this series. For the characters, I did not expect to like Knox that much, but I like that he’s genuinely nice to the people around him. I think he is my favorite character in this story.

I also like how this story builds up to the TWO big reveals. The first book had one big reveal regarding the killer, but this story has TWO regarding the mastermind. I expected the first big reveal, but the second one, oh my gosh, I did not see that coming from a mile away. It was also at the very last chapter, near the last few pages, so when I finished, I went quiet and analyzed what just happened.

I’ll be reading more from this author. She’s climbing up my rank of favorite writers.

Again, my reading comfort zone
Nothing could beat a cozy YA thriller.
A little bit predictable with a little twist at the end that left my mouth wide open
Love it 🫶
