The synopsis did not make it clear at all that this was written for Christians. It says "spiritual" so I thought it would be more open-minded/widely applicable and was intrigued. I can see why Christians would benefit from this book, as it quotes the Bible very often and references it constantly and relates trauma and mental health to biblical principles. I don't think this book was marketed in good faith, however (pun intended) because it is just a really long testimony. Haha Having grown up in a cult, I can recognize attempts to proselytize when it's happening -- though it wouldn't come across that way if the publishers and author were transparent (honest) about the content of the book.
