Some books you pick up and they prove to you why the written word is a salve. And some books are a reset, rebuke and a revelation, all in one. Some books are so good that you can’t stop thinking about it cuz the words are speaking to your spirit while soothing your soul

Dr. Phillips crafted an intricate and masterful book that explores the connection between an earthly garden and our physical and spiritual garden. Reading this book was like taking a much needed deep breath while walking through a beautiful garden! She was the teacher and I was the student. Great read!

I love the thought of the garden within me…the garden as it connects to the very first garden and how we cultivate that garden. I appreciated the way she thought about that and made that connection in a way I’ve never heard before. I listened to it on audio and think I might have enjoyed this book more if I had read it. The audio book didn’t pause enough between sections to really let a point sink in. I may go back and read the physical copy at some point. It’s a book that I’m sure I could get more out of if I read it more than once.

I’m halfway through this book and already compelled to write a review. Sometimes in life, you go through an event that you know will be a trauma when you look back at it. This book is the opposite. As I’m reading it, I know it’s going to lead to healing in my life and that I so look back on this book as being a pivotal moment. Thank you, Dr. Anita Phillips.
