One of the rare times where the movie is better. By a long shot. It's so badly written. The author somehow made almost every character unlikable, most especially Rick. It did its best to create answers and a cohesive world that makes sense, but there was so much wrong. Like when Rick is hanging, he is somehow able to speak. Or even the way they talk. It was all very off-putting.

And what was up with all the descriptions of the characters bodies. It was heavy and made it seem like a cheap harlequin novel.

Basically skip this and the author. Enjoy the movie instead.

My beloved story I know so well from the movie. The book doesn't bring nothing new unfortunately, but it is a good choice if you love Egypt and mummies.

I am in love with this book/movie. It was a great read! I was able to read alot of it to my daughter who LOVES the mummy even more than I do!

incredibly difficult reading. run on sentences and entire pages worth of description. while i’m sure it’s a fine book, if you enjoyed the pace of the film… just rewatch it instead of reading this. the life is drained out of the book RIP ;(

Definitely a fun summer read if you like the movie! A faithful adaptation, this book sprinkles in more details and descriptions that really make it come to life, and add to the enjoyment of the story.

I was hoping it would be a very good adaptation of the film, but sadly not. I only liked the book because I like the movie. The writing style was quite good and its pace was fast. There was also a decent amount of elements that I love with books. That's why I read the book quickly.

Decent movie novelisation, really the main reason I've given it a three though is because of how much I love the actual movie.
