This was just fun and heartwarming and there is nothing else I can say beyond that.

The love in this book is incredible. There is hardly any romantic love yet but the love Tohru has for all the Sohma family is so heartwarming. The love Yuki and Kyo have for her makes me so soft. I just love all these characters so much. They are all so unique and well fleshed out. I know them all so well. And I love them.

Man. Starting to really get into the feels with this one. People love to talk about how cutesy and sweet Fruits Basket is, and of course it is those things, but it's so heartbreaking too. Takaya has a really good grasp on how to portray emotion. She does it so beautifully every time. This series owns my heart!
