“Obviously it takes eight brains to come to one decision in this crowd. Good thing they have one another.”

Wow this book was so much better than the first two. And I definitely feel like I'm an outsider on this series but it's okay I'm going to state my opinion and deal with it. I don't really know how else to explain without spoiling this book/series but I feel like the characters were like 50% better in this book than they were in the first two. It honestly could be because I've read so many fantasy books this week and/or month and that's why I'm so unbelievably picky but who knows. Even though I'm not 100% in love with every character and story line I'm definitely going to stick with this series because I would hate to have my first ever "did not finish" book. So I will definitely make myself suffer through books I don't like and give an honest review then drop them like a hit potato.

In book 3 we see our favorite twin sisters back again. Rayne is a full time vampire and slayer (yes she can be both even if she doesn't want to), she has a hot boyfriend and is loving life. That is until a new threat happens upon their school. Now Rayne must infiltrate the cheerleading squad to solve a mystery on why people are disappearing.

I loved this book probably more than the first 2 because of all the real life problems Rayne faces with her boyfriend, becoming a vampire, and being a slayer. And although it's a YA paranormal fantasy book it definitely doesn't read as one. Highly recommend this series.

In the third installment of Mancusi's Blood Coven Vampire series, Rayne is faced with her biggest challenge yet. As "the slayer", her newest task is to figure out why it is that the cheerleading squad is growling. In order to do so she must get close to the cheerleaders, and as ANY teenager knows, the only way to get close to a cheerleader is to BE a cheerleader! Rayne seeks out her sister Sunny's help in a “prep” makeover so that she can try out for the cheerleading squad in hopes of becoming one of their new members. From there she must figure out exactly where the growling is coming fro, and find a resolution.

Mari Mancusi has created yet another fun adventure with Girls That Growl. The characters of Rayne and Sunny are hilarious and I love how they tend to use their "twin powers" to reverse their roles whenever it helps them out of a situation. They are such opposites, yet they always manage to pull it off. There is still a lot more that can be done with this series and I think Mancusi will go far with it. She is a very strong storyteller and has a unique writing technique. The story of Rayne and Sunny is fun for all ages, not just teenagers. Highly Recommended.

OMG. loved it. Rayne and Jareth are perf together. Not as cool as Magnus and Sunny, but still perf. I can't believe though that she tried out for cheerleading. Cheerleading. But hey, it's for her 'job' so I understand why. I hope Cait becomes Rayne's friend. After all, it's thanks to Rayne that Cait's getting help. Need more Sunny and Magnus scenes. Love each of them! They each belong together. Rayne with Jareth and Magnus with Sunny.

Cute, entertaining and an easy read. This one was more enjoyable and fluid because it was written in a traditional format. The best of the 3 IMO
