Dirty Charmer
By: Emma Chase
Narrated by: Andi Arndt, Rupert Channing

If you are looking for a feel good romance, with a little angst, some humor and passion filled story, then Emma Chase is the author you are looking for! Dirty Charmer is the 5th book in her Royally series, but it stands alone and pushes all the right buttons! Abigail comes from royalty, is smart, beautiful and on the way to becoming a talented heart surgeon. When she is in need of security, Tommy Sullivan is assigned to her charge. It's not the first time she has met this cocky, good looking, fiercely protective man. But their chemistry is something that cannot be denied. They do their best to stay away from each other, but circumstances and advice lead them to a no strings attached fling. We all know how those work out though. Or is he really the player he appears to be? This is a fun listen! Abby and Tommy are filled with passion, not only in bed, but their entire relationship. Witty banter and emotional onslaughts all show how much these two are able to care. We have the pleasure of meeting the families, enjoy their points of view but when it comes down to it, will these two ever fit in each other's lives? Will coming from different classes of society may be the deciding factor? Will other women be the problem? Different goals in life? Give this a listen. I know I was shaking my head at times, frustrated and crazed by decisions and other times smiling like crazy. It's fun and easy and a pleasure to listen to.

Andi Arndt and Rupert Channing bring it all to life. These seasoned performers know exactly how to play their characters and they nail each scene. Better choices could not have been made for this entertaining story.

This book is a great antidote for a bad day. You would have to try really hard to read an Emma Chase novel and still feel grumpy. Dirty Charmer starts with an alluring meet cute and the smiles just keep coming.

Can you be cocky and still be a nice guy? If you are Tommy Sullivan, the answer is yes. Yes, you most definitely can. The charismatic bodyguard has an abundance of swagger and is always down for a good time, but he is also a thoughtful, level-headed family man.

Abby Haddock is a gifted medical resident who feels pressure to live up to her aristocratic family’s high expectations. She is singularly focused on succeeding, which leaves no room for anything fun—certainly not dating. Her desire for approval makes her a tad uptight and insecure, but she is so kind that I just wanted to give her a big hug. It’s a welcome relief when Tommy comes along and sprinkles her drab life with color.

Even though they come from different backgrounds and have opposite personalities, I loved how accepting they are of each other. I also enjoyed seeing how they fit into each other’s world. And their chemistry?. Phew, it’s off the charts.

While not my favorite book in the Royally series—that honor still goes to [b:Royally Endowed|30176334|Royally Endowed (Royally, #3)|Emma Chase|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1493399991l/30176334._SX50_.jpg|50617673]—Dirty Charmer is sweet and sultry. It’s a well-rounded, delightful mood booster.

For some odd reason, I never dove into this book? Not sure why but it wasn't completely terrible.

I honestly don't remember the last time I read a book by Emma Chase. Not sure if that's a good thing or not but I am trying to change that. Which is why I dove into Dirty Charmer. Again, it wasn't that bad but I feel like there was just something off with this one.

In it, you will meet Tommy and Abby. They were kind of cute and you could definitely see the sexual tension between them. Yet, they kind of annoyed me at the same time. I liked them but at times they were just cocky, confusing, and down right annoying. A lot of things that happened with Abby's family just didn't add up to me. It just seemed out of the blue for them to demand things from her or out of her own life.

Other than that, it was an okay book. Since I liked the book I will probably try the next one in this series just to see if it will get good or not.

My goodness. It is so easy to love an Emma Chase book! Dirty Charmer is a fun, sexy, wildly entertaining read that will make you laugh and melt your heart.

The fifth book in the Royally series follows the story between Dr. Abby Haddock and Tommy Sullivan - whom we met previously. Living in the shadows of her extraordinary family, Abby's sole focus and determination was to be the best surgeon in Wessco. However, when the hospital's chief administrator tells her she's too high-strung, Abby must find a way to let out some steam. Enter Tommy Sullivan. Her former bodyguard who made it very clear that he wants her. They enter a no commitment arrangement and it's straight up delicious.

I loved Tommy and Abby. They're so great together. Complete opposites but they compliment each other perfectly. Their banter was magnificent and their chemistry was red hot.

Tommy often rides the line between flirty and inappropriate. But he gets away with it because of his charm, humor and his looks. If you've read Emma Chase's Tangled series, then you're very familiar with Drew Evans and his cocky, unapologetic, unafraid ways. I see a lot of Drew in Tommy. Let me tell you, that's not a bad thing.

So yes. I really enjoyed this one. If you want a fun and steamy read that will make you laugh, swoon and have you reaching for a glass of ice water, Dirty Charmer is for you.
