I'll be honest: the only reasons I picked up this book was because I was bored on an airplane and because Colleen Hoover wrote it.
Hoover has the knack to write addicting books - ones that you are just able to devour in one sitting. However, I have a love/hate relationship with Hoover.
In my opinion, her books are almost all the exact same story in different fonts - aside from Verity. However, they are a quick read and good when toiling away on an eight hour flight.
This book was strange. From the plot, to the characters, to the writing style, I did not love it. Tate was a doormat during the entire book for Miles to dance across as he sorted his own issues out.
Since I've read most of her recent books, and loved Reminders of Him and Verity, I thought I'd catch up on some of her older ones. But this one disappointed me.

This book was very Wattpad style written but I personally didn’t mind it. There were certain moments where you’re like ew why she write that but doesn’t take away from the major picture of the plot which was good so I didn’t mind.

I really liked the story of Tate and Miles. Tate isn’t perfect but she’s relatable and same for Miles. I get why people might not like Colleen Hoover, her writing isn’t the best by any means but this book kept me interested the whole time and overall I really liked it. I’d read something else by her. I liked that everything was wrapped up well by the end. I think I would’ve preferred if the characters were a few years older, I think that might’ve made a little more sense.
