So good, insanely tense. As a fan of the show I had high hopes for the book, and it did not fail me. The book was a bit hard to follow at times and the main characters were both a bit much at times but the descriptive imagery was phenomenal.
The biggest downfall of this book for me was the seemingly endless amount of sex. It was as if every other page was sexual in nature and many of the comparisons were uncomfortable and unnerving. Some of the book seemed to be glamorizing gaslighting and toxicity in relationships.
Overall a very good book, but could be very triggering if not in the right head space.

Completely unforgetable (and not in the best way). I was so creeped out by many scenes in this book, and I really have to give props to the writer for being able to get inside my head. I was so disgusted, but that just made me want to keep on reading. The characterisation of Joe as a manipulative, gas-lighting and egotistical stalker who blamed other for his downfalls was perfect. You can't root for any of the characters, but you definitely cannot root for him. Personally, the book could be a bit slow at times, and the faster-paced scenes seemed to end quite abruptly.

Major content warnings would be graphic depictions of violence, sex, and murder, as well as the obvious stalking and kidnapping.

What a creepily wonderful novel! Santino Fontana was wonderful! He brings such a special layer to Joe's character. I gave an extra star just because of his performance.

I read this book before the show came out and absolutely couldn’t stand the show, reread this again recently and it just reminded me why I loved it so much. Joe is irredeemable, since you’re in his head you will catch yourself “understanding” him but when you step back you realize how twisted he is. The characters have their flaws and I love that about them, they feel like people you know, not untouchable beings who don’t exist.

The audiobook is also beautifully read and I’d say- perfect.

Took a while for me to finish this book, about a week an a half. The writing was subpar, but in my honest opinion there was just too much filler. This caused me to put down the book quite a bit as it was just hard to get through.
