what a wonderful read! delightful. i wish only i had read it in less time— but that‘s on me.
it was so interesting to be in san salvatore with the main characters, and watch as the story unfolds and the plot develops, what was to happen to these women.
i shall keep them fondly in my heart.

❝ [5 ✰] i really enjoyed this book. both the writing and subject matter were a breath of fresh air; the writing was so... witty and quietly funny in a way you rarely see in contemporary writing. there were sprinklings of a few period bigotries which were annoying to read, but not so much it put me off the book. this could most definitely be made into a movie today; I think we all relate to the feeling of being stressed and in desperate need of beauty. the main theme of amore mio aiutami, composed by piero piccioni would go really well with this! ❞
