The only reason I keep giving Rina Kent's book two stars is because they read super fast and she knows how to write smut. The rest is very much questionable.

again the characters were not that interesting to follow which is sad because I always found Teal more of an interesting one because she was so different and closed off, you know Kent could have used that to really explore some different topics yet she chose not to. Teal is basically haunted with trauma which again is a topic you can explore on so many different levels except in Teal her case she just turned out a bland girl who was afraid to be touched by random people
yet she goes to a debauchery where she is to be touched by someone she doesn't know
It didn't make much sense to me. Ronan was you can say in the previous books such a goofball and like comic relief in these dark books so I was looking forward to his POV and character but it turns out he is as possessive and toxic as the rest of these men. dissapointed to say the least.

The mystery in this book was very lacking, i don't even know if you can call it mystery. The whole book was about Teal wanting the engagement and Ronan not so great setup for a romance story.
But, plot twist, at 80% of the book she suddenly breaks it off, we don't know why - i'm sorry this is a little for a mystery plot to kick in - Teal even hinted at this plot twist at the beginning of the story (she had extra motives for her engagement with Ronan) but that is completely forgotten throughout the story so there is literally no build up to this mystery and it just irks me so much?

this book was just not good. I'm kinda starting to believe her books are not for me but oh well, one to go and I'm done with this series, yippie. This last one be better good because it is the whole reason why I started to read this whole series, somethin I'm starting to regret deeply.

Rina Kent never fails to deliver a DARK romance. I love her twisted mind. Check trigger warnings for this one.
