I'm a huge fan of Miss Marple, so it should be no surprise that I loved this book. Was quite thrilled to see that she had a larger role in this one than in the past few in the series that I've read recently.

While I wasn't able to solve the murder, I did figure out some of the smaller clues. Really enjoyed the premise of this one - witnessing a murder that happened on another train with plenty of shady characters that could easily be the "bad guy".

Glad I read it before reading other books that surely took their inspiration from this book, for example The Girl on the Train.

Very lovely and very funny, and no one seems to care about any of the people who died, which is also very funny.
I guessed the murderer at 2/3rds or so and then moved on to another suspect but that felt close enough to be satisfying and not too close to be boring.
