I always enjoy a good Agatha Christie mystery. Miss Marple wins again!

Typical Agatha Christie murder mystery. Not so great on audio. The reader isn't good at differentiating voices, and because there's a lot of unmarked dialogue, it gets difficult to distinguish who's saying what -- or even when one person has stopped talking and the other person has started. Better off reading these in print, if you can.

Good Mrs Marple story but I’d really like to read more about the women she employs to help out. She was great!

4.5/5

So many plot twists! So many awkward proposals of love! So many unnecessarily long last names (how many times did my eyes skim over McGillicudy and Crackenthorpe??)!

Agatha Christie is truly the queen of mystery. I think I’ve loved every book of hers I’ve read, and this one was no exception. This was my first Miss Marple book, and I will say that I missed Hercule Poirot and his little gray cells. But I did truly love all the characters, the plot, and the mystery. All in all, I really enjoyed reading this book and had no idea how it was going to end. Can’t wait for my next Agatha Christie read!
