oh this made me feel all the feels. wasn't sure if I was going to be able to forgive the guys especially big D, and I do think there should have been more grovelling imo bevause i dont think i had forgiven them at all! however the one thing that did get to me is the night she takes her first knot, she manages to get 2 dicks and 2 knots in her at the same time. that is just not believable!

If you're looking for an angsty omegaverse, pick this book up! This isn't a dark OV but the pack does do some reprehensible things to our poor unsuspecting omega.

Evie is matched with a group of alphas by her demanding father. She's looking forward to it but soon discovers how opposed to a mate they are. And even worse, they're her scent match.

They've just been dumped to by a chosen mate, the bond broken and nearly killing one of them. Damien, the lead alpha goes to every expense to bully and torment Evie. He's the cruelest, with the others following along because of how fragile their pack bond is. They leave Evie half marked and suffering from the infection caused by their bite marks. They are totally unaware because our girl Evie, is a spitfire. This reminded me of War of Roses, where Evie gives as good as she gets. Until she nearly dies….

The Blackwood pack is:

Damien - lead alpha , prideful and manipulative
Asher - musician, follows whatever Damien says
Lake - sensitive artist
Cole - mma fighter.

There is OW drama because of the fallout after Daria left the pack. But she shows up at the end to wrap up that part of the plot.

I enjoyed this book a lot, however, there was a lot of "internal monologuing" . Evie really doesn't have a lot of on-page interaction with most of the Alphas . By the time they resolve their issues, they're already saying the "L" word. I didn't find it nearly as convincing. There is some grovelling which is great and a rarity in many books. It wasn't enough for me personally, as she almost dies in the book. HA. But it's a personal opinion.

She is smart, witty and I love her self-respect. Her thoughts and comments, how she handled every situation is chefs kiss. I laughed at multiple points.

I wanted to see more of the guys begging at her feet for forgiveness. She gave in too easily for someone who almost died and was living in an emotional hellhole, not to mention the mental abuse from her past, her family.

Make them crazy about her. Absolutely insane. I want them to suffer for a while, even after the knots.

I need to get checked out, this probably isn't normal. I swear nothing happened to me

First off, I LOVED the plot of this book. Loved it. 10/10. I felt like it was executed well, but I do have a couple of gripes. 1) I think an editor should’ve gone through and looked for inconsistent content and repeat phrases. 2) I would’ve loved to understand WHY the alphas fell for the FMC. It’s like, one minute they refuse to interact with her and reject her, then she is in danger, then all the sudden they’re in love? It would’ve been nice to see that transition come about a little more smoothly, or at least more in depth explanations. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this book!

They all needed therapy.

There's a huge betrayal and no grovel. The other woman is a caricature of a "not like other girls" girl. The FMC is a doormat. Body betrayal is rife.
