Honestly, I just could not get past the self-deprecating FMC and how much she seems to straight up hate men. Maybe it gets better, but I'm not sticking around to find out.

DNF. Started, felt uneasy about the start, the unexpected blow immediately cushioned by a convenient job opening, the portrayed *extreme* polar opposite personalities of the new roommates. Jumped around some and feelings didn't dissipate; face off of the old friends near the end also didn't work for me. There's some excellent writing in parts.

I found this book very interesting i liked the plot a lot and how they intersected ! I did find it hard to keep reading i’m not sure if this book just isn’t my type of reading style maybe but i found it very slow to read ! i did love the characters tho and the theme of the book as women really do deserve to have sex that pleasures them too ! Yes take down that misogynistic toxic masculinity empire of Black Hat !! It was a good read overall but probably a bit slow for my liking :))

This book had everything I need in a contemporary romance: a hero who’s unproblematic, a heroine who’s quirky, a plot that I haven’t read before (obviously still follows the traditional romance flow), tension, positive female relationships and, of course, dismantling stigmas surrounding women’s pleasure and the adult film industry. Rosie Danan does an excellent job of exploring the depths of adult entertainment in a tactful and nuanced way.

This was a one-sitting read for me. I devoured this book. I loved the characters and the banter between them was so good. This book is steamy, like really steamy. A good friend of mine once said “steam in a book, is like butter on toast.” I personally need all the steam and if you do too, this book is for you!

4.5 stars!
