Fun fun fun!!! The inner hopeful future children's children's librarian in me just loved this. What a silly thing language is. It kind of feels like Narnia meets Wonderland meets Dr Suess in one big happy imagination. Can't wait to share it with my kids and any kids!!
great book. loved the play on words...berg witty.
So many things are possible just as long as you don't know they're impossible.

I can't believe I didn't read this book until I was an adult. Such a timeless, witty, and imaginative story. My 6th grade students loved it too, which should tell you how good this book is.

This will forever be one of my all time favorite books. One of the best, quirkest, light hearted yet thoughtful read
I was hesitant of properly writing a review for this story in fear nostalgia had clouded my vision of this book. However, I just reread it on a whim and have come to the conclusion it has not aged whatsoever.
I originally read this book in fourth grade with my Language Arts teacher. Back then, I could drink books in hours. But this book was a class read, thus I had to read it slowly paced. It took all my restraint to not go to the local library, pick it up, and read this book at home.
Having been looking for some inpactful quotes in my favorite books, I felt it to be an obligation to return back to The Phantom Tollbooth. However, I was afraid my rereading would ruin the beauty I remember of this book — It did not.
The characters are full of humor and I can tell Norton Juster had a true passion for this book.
I wish for all readers to experience the love of a book as I feel to The Phantom Tollbooth. If you have a child around 10 years of age, or even if they're an advanced reader, I would absolutely highly recommend. They will not understand a quarter of the jokes made, but it will make for a lovely reread as an adult.
