This was fine/pretty good! Definitely not the terrifying, twisted thriller I was promised from a TikTok reviewer… there’s a lesson to be learned here. I did like the split POVs and enjoyed the twist (it was quite obvious but I didn’t use my brain hard enough to figure it out beforehand so it was a cool reveal). It was just quite bland and definitely not anything to rave, or even think twice, about.

The best thing about this book was Max. He is single handedly carrying this extra star on his back.

If thrillers AREN’T normally your thing, you’d probably like this fast paced tale. ⁣
⁣
However, if you are a frequent thriller flyer, I bet you would find this as predictable as I did. Also, Mary’s chapters were very annoying to me and tempted me to DNF.

4.5 ⭐️ This ending of this book was so perfect! I feel that in thrillers authors so often are trying to throw you off on purpose so you’re too confused and things don’t make sense but THIS!! It was a perfect balance of figuring things out and also have a twist ending that also makes sense! I really really enjoyed it.
