Bit of an over-optimistic, cheesy premise and ending. But for entertainment value, quite decent.

Not bad, not great. Fairly fast-paced if you like Cussler's other books this one follows the same script. I give it a B-

Let’s not forget that sometimes we read for escapist entertainment. This ticks all the boxes.

Is peace in the Middle East a possibility? It is in this nautical thriller by Clive Cussler - but only if the good guys can defeat the bad boys in time! Love the current day scenario wound into the plot. But as always with this type of book, I am forced to wonder how the good guys come out relatively unscathed when the bad guys are lying dead in droves.

An interesting mystery. Combines some ancient history about the Barbary Pirates with present day terrorists. The members of the Oregon are asked to help find the missing Secretary of State whose plane has gone down in Libya on the way to a peace conference. They end up involved in a plot by terrorists to behead the secretary and find an ancient tomb. Lots of action and intrigue with some members of the team getting injured. Action in several places at the same time.
