I expected to encounter a middle-book syndrome here, but I was pleasantly surprised.
It was quite a journey and the only thing that kinda annoyed me was Catrin's too-sudden character growth. I mean, one would argue that it is justifiable considering the circumstances, but I just wasn't buying it. I'm usually very good at suspending my disbelief, but it was just too quick for my taste.
All in all, one terrific sequel.
