3.5⭐ Had good parts and the concept was interesting to me kinda like DnD meets Jumanji, for lack of a better reference (I'm not sure if that was spoilers).

Not sure how I feel about it. Maybe it's a 4....gotta marinate.

All in all, it’s not for me... I liked some parts of the story, some of the art, but not enough to convince me to start following this series.

An engaging and interesting start. It looks like a combination of It and Jumanji with a lot of dark fantasy. The cast catches my eye, especially Angela and how she ended like that, although Ash seems like a promising character as well. The art's impeccable, with a careful, delicate style, but not so elegant either. It looks like it will be a crude story. You don't get to know much about what's going on, so there's not a lot to say so far.

A good start to a jumaji-inspired graphic novel series with interesting ending.

In this new series published by Image, a group of old friends are drawn reluctantly back to the game which forever altered their lives when they were teenagers. Die is no ordinary RPG and it'll take all of their skills to once again face the horrors within.

This first issue introduces the various characters and their RPG alter egos as they are forced back to the game that nearly destroyed them. I was impressed that in a single issue, Gillen managed to make all of the characters intriguing and more than one dimensional. By the time it hits the end of the issue, it has just a touch of dread to keep you wanting to know what the hell happened to these kids.

Part Jumanji and part Stranger Things is the vibe that I got from this book. I’m definitely going to read more of this series.

Seems to start a great story! Needed it to be longer maybe or more details?

Wow. Wow. Wow. This whole thing stirs my heart and imagination. Compelling and beautiful and smart, Die is the start of an epic adventure we all want to go on but don’t realize the consequences of. High-fantasy meets the horror of reality with characters that are promising to be rich and deep.
