This might be my favorite book of all time, it made me so miserable(in a good way!!!), and it well deserves its place as Dostoyevsky's most famous novel. I found the philosophies and internal monologue, and how it influences others/is influenced by others to be one of the most interesting parts of this book.

Damn. Okay so some parts of this were really slow and a bit tedious but the profound themes in this book... the dialogue, its gut-wrenching and elevating. i did really like it, especially toward the end. last 150 pages I'd say were the best. Likely will not read this again but certain parts are literary gold. Also can I just say I love Sonya as a character. Something in her is just so beautiful to me. Excellent book.

It's funny that my two favorite books of all time were written by Russian authors who didn't much like eachother. Ha.

is Raskolnikov really that relatable or am I just a teenage girl ??
