We are back in Threshold, although this time we are following Evelyn's ex-girlfriend, bloodline vampire, Lizzie on her quest to find the jewels Evelyn stole from her. Things are never as they seem in Thrteshold though and obstacle keep getting in the way of Lizzie's goal, including a gorgeos selkie named Maeve who needs her help. Another fun romp around and a solid introduction to the characters of the next book, which I cannot wait to read!
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

I was so looking forward to this book because I really liked Lizzie in the first book. Turns out though... I liked Lizzie a lot more when I wasn't inside her head... I also feel like her personality changed SO MUCH between the previous book and this one.
I did really enjoy that we left behind the main characters from book one behind in this book, because I think it would have added far too much complication to the story. I really did enjoy Maeve as an additional character though.
I think the relationship between Maeve and Lizzie went from attraction to admiration to love in the blink of an eye. I also think this book just bounced from fight scene to fight scene, only breaking when someone got injured (but not too injured to have sex).
In terms of the overall plot of the series, I feel like this book didn't add a whole lot to the whole "overthrow the corrupt government" thing they've got going on except fully pulling Lizzie into the battle I guess?
