It took awhile, but I really enjoyed this one!

A morally grey FMC who’s the “villain” meets a damaged cinnamon roll hero. This is definitely a REAL enemies to lovers. They’re literally enemies for thousands of years in different universes😭 I enjoyed the slow burn romance, with a tad bit of spice! It wasn’t too much or too little, it was just right. The constant banter was the cherry on top. OH AND FORCED PROXIMITY?! Oh honey!

I really loved that we are starting with an established character and that it’s not her being forced into a world or discovering the powers etc, Dianna is everything you want in an FMC

The ending I loved and it is making me really excited for where the rest of the series is going

For the negatives, there did feel like a lot of telling vs showing with dialogue and description that just kept taking me out of the story, sometimes it also veered a bit on info dumping

The magic system felt complex but without any rules it made it feel a bit messy at times, especially when trying to work out what they could do in terms of powers

Overall I did have a great time with this and can’t wait to continue

Just… WOW.

Probably all time favorite book. I just love strong female leads. Dianna is THE strong female lead.
Warrior, badass, hot, stands up to not just a God but the last God known to exist and who happens to be holding the fate of the universe by his survival alone… she does not give one singlar fuck.

One of my favorite parts of the book is how the romance is not rushed. Love a good slow burn and an enemies to friends to almost lovers arc.

I also love to see how hard Dianna loves her sister and will go to the ends of the earth for her before her love for any man.

I also love that shes a little evil (also a fan of female villians) but shows some soft sides to her as the story develops.
