Honestly, I didn't finish it even though it's so short. I just don't mesh with the MC. She's skirting the whole Mary Sue too much for my taste. I know many raved about this series but it just doesn't grab me.
Yrene was a very intriguing character and I thoroughly enjoyed her in this novella. I love seeing women empower other women and this story embodied that from start to finish. It was tragic and beautiful and just a great read!!

I am really enjoying this whole series. This short story takes place between novellas 0.1 and 0.2. While I don't think it added much to the story at this point I really did enjoy it. I also enjoyed seeing Celaena fight on her own so we can see how she has her reputation. I also hope we see Yrene again in later novels as a full out healer!
