Es la segunda historia corta de trono de cristal y me ha gustado mucho más que la primera. Se ven rasgos de la protagonista en su pasado bastante importantes para la trama de la saga principal y espero que Yrene aparezca por ahí
I liked the different POV although Celeana was quite sulky in this one. I'm a sucker for 'teaching the defenseless how to fight' scenes so really liked this short story and comparisons it made between the two very different characters.

This novella takes place between the events after The Assassin and The Pirate Lord and the next novella, which is The Assassin and The Desert. This is told from Yrene. Celaena saved her from an incident. This young lady lost her home, family and dreams. I felt the struggle that Celaena was facing. It could have been more developed to be great. It was an interesting read.
