If you give a man a fish... I loved that Celaena actually taught her.
This was the novella that felt a little pointless to me; it felt very much like a filler scene. While waiting for a boat to take her to her punishment for freeing the slaves, she is staying at the White Pig Inn. Caelena spends the entire novella inside a pub and the alleyway adjacent to it. Actually, not much happens other than her meeting a barman named Yrene, who—judging by the fact her name sounds familiar—will probably reappear later in the Throne of Glass series. This story will have much greater significance if she does make a reappearance, but right now it feels like the weakest story in The Assassins Blade collection.
“The girl wore her scars the way some women wore their finest jewellry”

i understand that was an introduction to Yrene's character (maybe????) but it was quite... meh
I am really enjoying getting to know Celaena and what motivates her. I like how easy to read and fast-paced these stories are.
