de editie die ik heb gelezen had een introductie vooraf; heeft heel het plot gespoiled??! dus het boek was uiteindelijk allesbehalve spannend

Suburban horror is a new genre to me, and I found this not only deeply unsettling but also incredibly sad. Working in Adult Social Care with folks like Mrs Fingal made it hit home all the more.

It was an engaging read but not an enjoyable one,
and I’d have liked to see a comeuppance for Josh at the end too. The sleazy bastard.

I just don't like it when old men fantasise over tits and watching girls on the beach.

It makes me uncomfortable despite this book being "Horror"

I love the cover art but the characters themselves are already so dreadful from the start, it just becomes a handful to read.

I really do want to give this book a chance but do I have to when a book doesn't hook me into it?
