It took me way too long to read this but I can see why this is a classic. I just think for me to have really appreciated the story, I should have read this in a class/group setting. I had to spark note synopsis’s which barely scratched the surface but gave me that additional time to ponder the themes and such.

I started this book since it’s a classic and I love classics but I just don’t think I like Steinbeck. It took me a long time to finish this because it just wasn’t a page turner. My stars aren’t lower because it’s not like it was bad. Just not great.
