This was a bittersweet entry into the series. I loved how the minor characters have been fleshed out in this book and - of course - there are good Jethro moments aplenty.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not paid for this review.

Hiho, hiho its off to Swissmen Sweets I go! I always enjoy a trip to Harvest and was excited about visiting @ Easter. I immediately wondered what crazy event Margot Rawlings was planning for the town. Upon arriving it didn’t take me long to find out. An eight-foot chocolate/toffee rabbit...I should have known! As well as a huge spring festival where the rabbit would be displayed...only Margot! Wonder what Ruth thought of this?? Lol. After getting settled I helped Bailey, Charlotte, and Maami put the finishing touches on the rabbit...ok well actually I just supervised….Bailey didn’t trust me with hands on work. Rightfully so. At the festival we met Stephen Raber briefly an Amish man who raises rabbits. I say briefly because as we were talking to him and fawning over the rabbits Raber clutched his chest and collapsed. Despite CPR Raber didn't make it. We all assumed it was a heart attack...nothing is ever that simple (or natural) around Harvest. The next day we were visited by the victim's son Eli Raber who asks Bailey to look into his father's death. He gave us some threatening letters that his father had received as well as his fathers prized rabbit Puff! Well I knew there was no way we weren’t going to investigate what happened to Stephen...I mean I love Bailey but she is a nosy one...despite her deputy and boyfriends wishes. And so, ...

My thoughts:

Listened to this book on audio for the “hooked on books” feature of my blog, so make sure you check out the blanket that accompanied this read (it’s my favorite that I have made!). The narrator did a fine job...not fabulous but definitely not terrible.

Another winner!! I enjoy everything about this series, and it just gets better with time!! I loved the addition of Millie the Amish community's matchmaker to the already amazing cast of characters! I even heard there is a spin off series starring Millie….Ruth must be fuming! Lol. No doubt this will be my next read! As always this was a well written maze of a mystery...with many twists and turns, as mention above fabulous characters, small quaint lovely setting, and scrumptiously sweet treats!!

A very good cozy in a series that is becoming one of my favourites.
It's great to meet again the old cast of characters and meet new ones like the sweet rabbit and Millie the matchmaker.
The setting is as lovely as usually and the strong mystery kept me guessing till the end.
I look forward to reading the next installment.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to Kensington Books and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

In general, I enjoyed the book, but there were phrases and descriptions which kept getting repeated through the book, short as it was. A sharp editing would have knocked off about a quarter of the pages.
