Good spice. I hate that she was taken as an 10 year old. And her behavior when she's first sold doesn't really match up with her history but I like the story.

*The audiobook for this is a sensual delight and is such an engaging and impactful experience.

I loved this so much. Wren’s story broke me in the most horrible and beautiful ways. It’s hauntingly dark and profoundly healing. I cannot recommend this story or its author, Jenn Bullard, enough.

I revived this as an ALC audiobook. The narrators were great. Molly Briar kicked it out of the park bringing Wren to life. She sounded just like how I would imagine given how Wren was written. Tyler Griffen did a great job voicing multiple men, even throwing an accent in.

The book is an omegaverse with three alphas, a male omega, and Wren. It is very spicy heavy. Spice over plot IMO. Which most of the time I don’t mind but this book was too long for that. It made it drag for me.

The story is dark. Wren is held captive as a sex slave from age 10-20 and descriptions are graphic so heed the TW.

To keep this short, the alphas were super dismissive with Wren at the beginning, didn’t really care what happens to her despite her horrible traumatized condition they find her in and totally ignore the pull they feel towards her because they already have an omega, despite their omega being the one who wanted her. It threw me off them for the rest of the book. Despite them coming around and basically worshiping her and helping her, they were not redeemed for me. At the end Wren wants to help other omegas and start a foundation and everything and they are all, yes, we will help you and do all this awesome stuff. Really my guys? You gave two shits about helping her after buying her. But now you are all into saving omegas?

I did enjoy Flynn and Wrens relationship a lot. He was her advocate from the beginning and basically shamed and forced his alphas to find her after she ran away. I enjoyed their dynamic, their scenes and the danger that happens at the end with was pretty awesome. Wren gets hers in the end and it ties them even closer together. Flynn single handily added a star to this review. The alpha’s can suck it, lol. Flynn and Wren forever!

This was an incredible story! Wren has endured horrible abuse after presenting as an Omega at age 10 and being sold by her parents to a twisted Alpha. When Wren’s body rejects the hormone suppressant drugs he gives her and she starts to become a woman, he sells her at An Auction. She fully expects that her life will continue to be a living hell. But fate has other plans for Wren. Her scent match is in the audience and his Omega, Flynn, buys her. Flynn doesn’t fully understand why he had the impulse to buy her but after some serious screw ups & miscommunication, they eventually figure it out. Shaw, Everett & Ambrose are a trio of Mafia Alphas & Flynn is their Omega. This book has some very dark themes, murder, lots of sex & an eventual HEA. Despite the dark themes, it’s ultimately a story of good overcoming evil & finding love after trauma.
